Expectations...

Things I didn’t expect to do in Africa:

· Hit a CD release party (for an artist whose name I forgot instantly)
· Join the Gaborone Film Society (First flicks I saw – Peter Seller’s excellent Being There and miserable Australian film The Man Who Sued God)
· Attend the Exodus Live! Spoken Word and Poetry Festival
· Get more and better TV news than I had in Vancouver (at least when the satellite’s working)
· Be unnerved by the sight of large congregations of white people after only a few weeks here.
· Celebrate American Thanksgiving.

Things I should have expected to do in Africa
· Hear an atrocious cover band playing 80s torch songs on hand drums and a sitar.
· Discover that cheap beer and extreme heat are a very bad combination.
· Leave shoeprints in the asphalt roads at midday (it’s THAT hot here sometimes).

Sounds like you're having a good time.

I posted your heffalump pic to my blog and stole my own bandwidth to cross-post to The Last Time. I emailed you the code to do the same if you like.

The pic's at http://breebop.toastmedia.com/archives/000211.html.

Hi Paul-- Cheers from China--no, not really we're still in Van- Barry & Lynne that is. Alls well mostly-recovering from a minor heart attack-( after reading your blog!!)Feeling just Fine-its probably safer where you are, what with all the well meaning "druggistors" in our midst!!--that green stuff between elephant toes is "slow tourists" by the way...

The cold has given way to warm California surfing weather-skiings a bust!. Nanna is here for Xmas eve and day to watch ol' Fatty come down the Chimney-the "first lady" decked out the pad in fine style...Have just a fine time on your Xmas sojourn-- remember to bring me a back a real "spear"--an authentic mask will do---to match my Grandfather's painted Ostrich Eggs which he purchased in the Transvaal-what Botswana was called I think when Bohrs( Dutch) were most prominant--you might have to correct me on that---maybe Transvaal was to your "west"-

Ciao for now!!

Find out how your company rates by using a little known rating system!

Is your company a Scam, Dud, Scheme, Fraud Or Good Opportunity?.

95% of the money-making opportunities on the internet have been worked to death or are not suitable to be marketed through the internet. How does your company and/or opportunity rate… I’ll leave it to you to decide if your service, product and/or money making opportunity falls in this category.

Hurry you may NOT be happy with what you will find!

Hello from Las Vegas. I was doing research on golf cart battery and came across your site Paul. The title Expectations... attracked me. This is good reading, I'll pass it on to my girlfriend. She likes this kind of stuff. If you or any of your readers can help or offer information on golf cart battery let me know. Glad I ran into your inspiration. I like to read blogs for creative ideas and themes. I get a lot of good ideas for acting. Thanks again for your time. Keep it up.
